Love Story

Beginning of meeting

Daniel and Kayla met on an online dating site in March 2021. Daniel and Kayla’s first date was at Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grille located in the heart of downtown Tallahassee. They enjoyed food, drinks, and getting to know more about one another.

Establish a Relationship

Daniel and Kayla made their relationship official on March 11, 2021. At the time, Daniel was living in Jacksonville, Florida while Kayla Lived 2.5 hours west in Tallahassee, Florida. Their work schedules seemed incompatible, but they were both determined to make it work despite the distance. Daniel would be off on Wednesdays so he would make the 2.5 hour journey to Tallahassee on Tuesday nights after work and return to Jacksonville early Thursday morning to return to work. Kayla was off on the weekends so she would make the 2.5 hour journey to Jacksonville on Friday evenings and return to Tallahassee on Monday mornings for work. Daniel and Kayla continued doing this almost every week for over 6 months. Eventually, Daniel and Kayla grew unhappy being so far apart so Kayla began looking for other job opportunities. Kayla was offered a remote position which gave her the opportunity to move to Jacksonville and be close to Daniel. Over time, Daniel and Kayla began introducing their friends and families to each other. They have celebrated many birthdays, holidays, vacations, and graduations with each other. They love to spend time with their family, watch movies, go to the beach, and BBQ! Daniel and Kayla enjoy traveling, and since meeting they have been to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos, The Bahamas, New York, Daytona Beach and hope to add many more!

Daniel asked for Kayla‘s hand in marriage on October 26, 2022. With friends and family, dressed in all white, Daniel proposed at Boneyard Beach in Big Talbot Island at sunset. The proposal was followed by dinner at their favorite restaurant Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse.

Daniel and Kayla will be getting married in the beautiful city of St. Augustine on January 7, 2024.
